Authorities today chased a car occupied by burglary suspects from the Industry area to South Los Angeles, where a patrol car forced the vehicle to stop and three occupants were arrested.
California Highway Patrol officers began chasing the car on the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway near the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway shortly after noon to assist sheriff's deputies, CHP Officer Cheyenne Quesada said.
The chase led to the downtown Los Angeles area, where the car's driver led officers on a chase over surface streets, eventually circling the same general area in South Los Angeles.
About 12:35 p.m., a patrol car forced the vehicle to stop, and three occupants got out as authorities gave foot chase in the general area of 71st Street and Broadway. Within about 10 minutes, the suspects had been taken into custody, authorities said.
