A sheriff's deputy told Patch that the car was engulfed in flames; the fire was not considered suspicious, the deputy told Patch.

It appeared to be mechanical failure, the deputy said.

What kind of car was it, a Honda CRV? They are catching on fire all by themselves. The only other cars that set themselves on fire are the plug-in hybrids like the Chevy Volt, Prius and Fiskers. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/08/automobiles/honda-recalls-vehicles-over-fire-hazard-in-switch.html?_r=0 City of Walnut should ban all these cars from city property until solutions are found, it could have burned down a building. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/11/three-toyota-prius-hybrid-models-also.html
