Detectives Suspect What Killed Person Found Dead in DB

Investigators are releasing few details and they feel they know what may have happened in the case of a body found on Clear Creek Canyon Drive on Sunday.

Authorities have determined there was nothing suspicious about the death of a person found in the Clear Creek Canyon Drive area on Sunday.

They will release few details because it appears the person's fatal injuries may have been self-inflicted, according to investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide office.

Sheriff's officials do not release information on cases that may involve suicide.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene sometime after 1 p.m. But this is standard procedure, said Deputy Lillian Peck, Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.

“It’s all part of discovery,” she said. “Just because the homicide team goes out does not necessarily mean there’s a homicide.”
