Diamond Bar Sheriff's Team to Revive Neighborhood Watch Program

The Sheriff's Team in Diamond Bar is calling for existing Neighborhood Watch groups to provide updated contact information as part of an effort to revive the program, according to the city's newsletter.

Neighborhood Watch is a program designed to enlist residents to help law enforcement keep an eye our for suspicious or possible criminal activity in the community.

Every group should have a captain and an alternate, officials said. The picking of a captain will provide a designated contact to receive group communications, including crime alerts and other notices from the Sheriff's Department.

Groups can update their information by calling Special Projects Deputy Aaron Scheller at 909-839-7079 or sending an email to ascheller@diamondbarca.gov.
