Diamond Bar Band Instructor Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

Albert Anthony Morales most recently worked at Diamond Ranch High School but also formerly tutored students at Diamond Bar High.

A 33-year-old high school assistant band instructor was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female student.

Albert Anthony Morales was taken into custody at his home in Diamond Bar and booked on sodomy charges, said Sgt. Richard Pena of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The assault occurred in the summer of 2006 when the victim was attending Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, Pena said.

Morales has been tutoring band students for the past 13 years and had taught or volunteered in Los Angeles and Orange counties as a percussion teacher.

Detectives from the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau are seeking additional victims. Morales worked at Diamond Bar High School from 1998 to 2000, Sunny Hills High School from 2004 to 2009 and Diamond Ranch High School in Diamond Bar the past two years, Pena said.

Anyone with additional information on Morales was asked to call the bureau at (877) 710-5273.

PRAY! Parents for the safety of our children! Nothing else will work, there is no safe place.

Liberal lifestyle. Will get you every time. Teens that dress like prostitutes and Hollywood/music industry that glamorizes perversion. Whoopi Goldberg said that Roman Polanski did not commit 'rape' rape. As if there is any other kind. Quit depending on drugs to keep the pervs in line. Enlarge mental hospitals and house these pervs in there so they do not continue to run free. We need cameras in the classroom and guards at the gate and guns have nothing to do with it. It is the mental cases that are the problem

@Vito I can't believe you have the nerve to blame "teens that dress like prostitutes". You should be ashamed of yourself. And no, these pervs don't need a mental hospital, they need jail. The hardcore conservatives are what brought liberals, there's no one political party to blame though and it's ridiculous to even imply as much.

Lighten up. No way do I blame teens. Totally this moron's fault for thinking he can do anything. Just like almost all kids do these days.
