Eight Injured in Industry Crash

The accident was apparently caused by a driver who ran a red light.

Eight people suffered minor injuries today when two cars collided in Industry in an accident apparently caused by a driver who ran a red light, authorities said.

The accident occurred just after midnight at Railroad Street and Azusa Avenue, said Sgt. Michael Mileski of the Industry Sheriff's Station.

The driver of a Honda Civic was westbound on Railroad Street when he apparently ran a red light and hit a Buick La Crosse headed northbound on Azusa Avenue, Mileski said.

Four people in each car were transported to hospitals, all with minor injuries, he said. The crash remains under investigation.
