Sheriff's deputies conducted a Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation on Feb. 26 in Industry.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Traffic Services Detail conducted a Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation on Feb. 26 in Industry that netted three arrests and resulted in one impounded vehicle.

Sheriff’s officials said they wanted to curb the number of deaths and injuries caused by careless motorcyclists and other motorists. Extra deputies patrolled areas where motorcycle crashes have occurred, according to a sheriff’s news release issued by Sheriff’s Department Capt. Mike Parker.

Deputies looked for drivers and riders who were under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They also cracked down on traffic violations made by motorcyclists and those in larger vehicles, Parker wrote.
