Several Vehicles crashing on the 605 Freeway in West Covina Saturday snarled traffic into the afternoon, the CHP reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident log, at least one person suffered injuries in the crash and was possibly trapped; there were two cars and a van involved, the CHP reported.
The wreck on the southbound freeway -- at the Interstate 10 interchange -- was reported at 9:51 a.m. but a SigAlert for blocked traffic was not issued until 11:34 a.m., the CHP reported.
It was canceled at 12:07 p.m., according to the CHP.
Emergency crews -- three tow trucks and an ambulance were requested -- were having trouble reaching the wreck site because of stalled traffic, the CHP indicated.
A CalTrans cleanup crew was also requested for about 100 feet of oil spilled across three lanes, the CHP reported.
