Andrew Park, 23, died Sunday after a crash on the eastbound 60 freeway near the San Gabriel River bridge.

Authorities today identified a motorist who died of injuries he suffered in a four-vehicle crash on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Industry.

Andrew Park, 23, of La Verne died at a hospital following the crash, which occurred about 1:40 a.m. Sunday near the San Gabriel River bridge, according to the coroner's office.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2001 Toyota Corolla driven by a 26-year-old Rowland Heights man struck the center median wall, and a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck -- while trying to avoid the Toyota -- was rear- ended by a 2010 Nissan Versa driven by Park.

That impact caused the 41-year-old Riverside man driving the pickup truck to lose control of his vehicle, which came to rest facing sideways and blocking the number one and two lanes of the freeway.

Paramedics took a passenger in the pickup truck and a passenger in the Toyota Camry to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
