Man Found Burned, Bound, Naked Beside I-605
The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of his relatives, was discovered by a passing motorist.
A man who was found burned, bound and naked beside the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in the Industry area died at a hospital today.
The victim was found about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday just north of the transition road from the Pomona (60) Freeway, and was taken to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center, the sheriff's department reported.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was assaulted before he was burned and crawled from a wash beneath to the freeway to the roadside, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Kim Manatt.

Manatt said the victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of his relatives, was discovered by a passing motorist.
Hospital spokeswoman Rosa Saca said the patient had burns over 100 percent of his body and died at 2:54 a.m.
