Man Killed in Industry Crash

The unidentified man's Saturn sedan reportedly went over the side of the southbound 605 freeway.

A man was killed Sunday night when his Saturn sedan went over the side of the southbound San Gabriel (605) Freeway in the City of Industry and overturned, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The single-car accident was reported at 7:15 p.m. on the southbound San Gabriel Freeway just south of Peck Road, according to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

The man killed was described as Hispanic and about 20 years old, Kimball said.

There was no one else in the car, said Los Angeles County Fire dispatch supervisor Eddie Pickett, whose paramedics responded to the scene.

The crash was under investigation, Kimball said.
