Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators are looking into the death of a man who was struck and killed by an Amtrak train today on the tracks at Valley Boulevard and Pierre Road.
The Walnut sheriff's station received a call at 6:04 a.m. about an unidentified man who was hit on the tracks by a train headed westbound, Lt. John Saleeby said.
Investigators are uncertain if it was an accident or a suicide, Saleeby said.
The sheriff's Homicide Bureau is investigating.
