A speeding motorcycle crashed on a freeway off- ramp Wednesday night while being chased by California Highway Patrol officers in Hacienda Heights tonight, injuring a male rider and his female passenger.
The crash occurred around 9:10 p.m. on the Azusa Avenue off-ramp from the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway, CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
The motorcycle was seen speeding onto the Pomona Freeway from Hacienda Boulevard, Villalobos said.
"Units got behind (the motorcycle) and attempted to make an enforcement stop," he said.
The motorcycle crashed into some bushes as the rider tried to exit at Azusa Avenue, Villalobos said.
The rider and his female passenger were taken to a hospital with "minor to moderate injuries," Villalobos said.
The chase lasted no longer than two minutes, he said.
It was unclear what possible charges the male rider would face, Villalobos said.
