Off-Duty Fontana Police Officer, Resident of Walnut Dies in Motorcycle Crash

The Walnut resident—identified by the coroner's office as 26-year-old Thomas Chamberlin—died at a hospital.

An off-duty Fontana police officer was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle in the Angeles National Forest north of Azusa, authorities said today.

The accident was reported around 8:25 p.m. Tuesday at San Gabriel Canyon Road mile marker 21, near Morris Reservoir, according to the California Highway Patrol online incident log.

Frausto said the man was southbound when he lost control of his 2013 Triumph motorcycle for an unknown reason and it crashed.
