Public's Help Sought to Identify Rowland Heights Rapist
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau is investigating a rape and beating that occurred Saturday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau is asking for the public's help in identifying a male suspect who brutally raped a 29-year-old woman in her Rowland Heights apartment.
At 6 a.m. Saturday, the victim was awakened by the suspect after he got into her apartment in the 1500 block of Jellick Avenue through an unlocked sliding glass door, according to a news release. She was raped and physically assaulted, sustaining serious injuries from the beating, authorities said.
Anyone who has information about the assault or who can provide detectives with additional information to help locate or identify the suspect, his vehicle, or suspicious people in the area at the time is asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau at 1-877-710-LASD (5273).
