San Gabriel Valley Man Sentenced for Pimping, Pandering

Damion Henri Soul, of Pomona, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison.

A 40-year-old Pomona man was sentenced today to 10 years in state prison for pimping and pandering a woman in Santa Ana.

Damion Henri Soul was convicted by a jury on Dec. 4 of a felony count of pimping and another count of pandering, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office.

Sentencing enhancements for two strike convictions from 1993 in Los Angeles County for armed robbery and assault with a firearm, and prior prison felony convictions for forgery in 1998 and possession of a controlled substance in 2003 and 2006, were taken into consideration in today's sentencing.

Soul was found pimping a 20-year-old victim identified only as Jane Doe in the early morning hours of Sept. 4. Soul was overseeing her as she solicited commercial sex from men in an area of Santa Ana known for such activities.

An undercover Santa Ana Police Department officer witnessed Jane Doe getting into Soul's car and the officer arrested Soul.
