A sig alert has been issued on the westbound 60 Freeway at Garey Avenue in Pomona.

The Pomona Police are investigating the death of a man who reportedly jumped from the 71 Freeway Wednesday afternoon, reported the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

The death investigation has prompted a sig alert and has caused the Garey Avenue on ramp on the 60 Freeway to be closed.

A motorist called 911 at around 2:40 p.m. and reported that someone jumped from the northbound 71 freeway, the newspaper reported.

The unidentified victim landed on the shoulder of the westbound 60 Freeway close to Garey Avenue.

The investigation continues.
