Authorities today released composite drawings of two of three men wanted in the killing of a Hong Kong man gunned down during a robbery in the parking lot of a West Covina restaurant row.
Sheron Khemlani, 29, was shot in the head in the 100 block of North Barranca Avenue about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 1, West Covina police Officer Rudy Lopez said.
"The victim was on vacation and had stopped to eat at one of the restaurants with his brother," Lopez said. "As the two were returning to their vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the parking lot, two suspects assaulted and then robbed them."
Khemlani's brother also was injured in the attack, police said.
The two attackers, who wore hooded sweatshirts, were described as 18-22 years of age, with light complexions and thin builds. They fled to a getaway vehicle described only as blue and having four doors. It was driven by a third man, also described as 18-22 years of age, who had short spiked hair and acne.
The composites are images of the getaway driver and one of the two suspects who attacked the victims. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (626) 939-8557.
