Teen Arrested for Alleged Prostitution in San Gabriel Valley
The girl was placed in protective custody pending parental notification and follow-up.
Pomona police vice officers detained a 17-year-old girl who had been brought from Los Angeles to work the streets of their city as a prostitute, a lieutenant said Sunday.
The girl was detained at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Holt Avenue and Reservoir Street, said Lt. Chuck Becker.
No adults were arrested with her, he said. She was found on the street alone.
