Deputies patrolling in the unincorporated West Valinda area seized about 3,000 pounds of illegal fireworks and arrested three people on suspicion of possessing the contraband, authorities said today.
The arrests were made about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Sandia Avenue, the sheriff's department reported.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department removed the fireworks, which were discovered in a residential garage at the location. The names of the suspects, described only as males, were not immediately released.
