Three Men Arrested in Walnut Sunday After Allegedly Robbing Industry Business

The suspects were caught after trying to hide at TJ Maxx in the Snow Creek Village shopping center, authorities said.

Three men who allegedly burglarized a City of Industry business were arrested Sunday after fleeing authorities and attempting to hide in TJ Maxx at the Snow Creek Village shopping center.

Deputies received a call at 5:45 p.m. about a burglary in progress at a business in the 300 block of Cheryl Lane, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. R. Thurlo. The report was that four males dressed in black clothing had broken into the building and were seen going in and out with merchandise, Thurlo said.

Deputies and an air unit responded to the scene and the suspects took off running. They jumped into a white BMW and drove north Brea Canyon before heading eastbound on Valley Boulevard.

They got out at the shopping center and attempted to hide at TJ Maxx, Thurlo said.  Three of the suspects, all male, were taken into custody on suspicion of burglary and charged.  The fourth suspect turned out to be a woman. She was not apprehended at the time, he said.

The business had hired a security company who was doing live feed monitoring at the time of the reported burglary and the person watching the feed saw the suspects on camera and called the Sheriff's Department, he said.

"They were able to call us right away," Thurlo said.  "It worked out well."
