The crash at Nogales Street near Gale Avenue was reported at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The big rig was headed south on Nogales Street and was stopped on the tracks when its flatbed trailer, carrying a metal cargo container, was struck by the train's front engine, according to the CHP.

One of the Union Pacific train's cars caught fire, said Ed Pickett, a Los Angeles County Fire Department supervising dispatcher. Fire crews extinguished the fire, cleaned up the spill and took one person to a hospital, he said.   The crash injured the truck's 52-year-old driver, a resident of Perris, according to the CHP, which reported that he was taken to St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton with minor injuries.

I wasn't talking about that, when did that happen, '73? Richard Nixon? That was a colossal waste ofRead More money. Nixon also started the EPA. Not many realize what a worthless Liberal he really was. He also took us off the Gold Standard which was the genesis for out of control gov spending.

How many people in wheelchairs, or blind people walking around have you ever seen in Walnut? I'veRead More lived here since 1968, I haven't seen one, not a single one. I have nothing against the handicapped, I do have a problem with the money it costs to jackhammer up sidewalks, and put ramps that nobody needs, especially 5 feet from a driveway aprin.
