BREAKING: Law Enforcement Chase Winds Through Region

The chase, which authorities said started in San Dimas, ran through Pomona and the city's along the I-1o Freeway and ended in west Redlands and began in Los Angeles County, according to reports.

A driver of an older-model SUV weighing an estimated three tons was chased for nearly an hour before it ran out of gas on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Redlands tonight, authorities said.

The chase began in the San Dimas area at 6:05 p.m. on the freeway when sheriff's deputies saw the man driving recklessly, and possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, said Lt. David Vega of the San Dimas Sheriff's Station.

During the chase, the driver ran several red lights and through the gates of a railroad crossing. He also came close to mowing down some pedestrians and smashing into other vehicles. When the chase ended, lawmen found a lot of liquor in the vehicle, according to KCAL9.

The arrest in Redlands was handled by San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies.

The man's name was not immediately available, Vega said.

Law enforcement chased a fleeing motorist from the Glendora area, ending in Redlands on Wednesday evening and he was surrendering at 7 p.m., according to televised images of the chase on multiple news channels.

The chase terminated in west Redlands and began in Los Angeles County, according to NBC4LA.

This is the reason why some of these idiots get shot by the police, and then their survivors incredulously blame law enforcement for doing their jobs. Thankfully no one got hurt.
