Luna was riding in a red sedan that collided with an SUV and another vehicle, a CHP sergeant told a news photographer at the scene. She died at the scene.

Investigators were trying to determine if alcohol played a role in the collision, the CHP sergeant said. Several other people suffered injuries in the crash, but it was not immediately clear how many and how severely they were injured.
