Update: Teen Killed in 10 Freeway Crash Identified
The victim was a 17-year-old girl from El Monte.
An investigation was under way today into a three- vehicle collision that killed a 17-year-old girl on the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in West Covina.
The crash on the 10 Freeway at Pacific Avenue was reported at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, said California Highway Patrol Officer Anthony Martin.
The fatally injured teen -- identified as Jessica Rose Luna of El Monte - - was a passenger in a vehicle involved in the crash, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed winter.

Luna was riding in a red sedan that collided with an SUV and another vehicle, a CHP sergeant told a news photographer at the scene. She died at the scene.
Investigators were trying to determine if alcohol played a role in the collision, the CHP sergeant said. Several other people suffered injuries in the crash, but it was not immediately clear how many and how severely they were injured.
