A woman collided with a big rig truck and damaged a fence on Interstate 10 Wednesday after losing control of her car.

The motorist, who had three passengers, was traveling in the No. 1 lane of the westbound 10 Freeway east of Via Verde at around 65 to 70 mph when she lost control of her car for unknown reasons, said California Highway Patrol Officer Rodrigo Jimenez.

The Honda crossed traffic lanes and collided with a Freighliner tractor trailer that was in the No. 4 lane.  The Honda driver veered off the roadway and struck a chain-link fence along the northern border of the 10, Jimenez said.

No one was injured and no lanes were blocked due to the crash.  Caltrans was notified about the damage to the fence, he said.
