Walnut High Business Students Named 2013 Champions

The students won the sweepstakes award at the Future Business Leaders of America Inland Section Conference recently.

The Walnut High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Club won the coveted 1st Place Sweepstakes award at the Inland Section Conference held February 23. 

This was the first year the school competed in the Inland Section said teacher and advisor Neil Jacoby. 

We had 23 of our students receive 1st Place in their event and in total Walnut High students won over 90 awards, he said.

“I am so proud that our FBLA team took the Sweepstakes Award," he said. "To all of the students who competed as well as the parents who were in attendance - great job!”

Congratulations to the following 1st Place winners: John Luna-Accounting II; Erica Ma-Business Communications; Barbara Gasgonia–Business Law; Henry Ao-Cyber Security; Connie Chen-Economics; Victor Chen, Alvin Wan, and Zachary Woo-Entrepreneurship; Connie Chen, Joy Hu, and Vivian Huang-Global Business; Andrew Tu- Hospitality Management; Samantha Wu-Intro to Business; Doris Li- Intro to Business Communications; Stanley Lin – Intro to Tech Concepts; Kevin Hsu, Lucy Liang, and Maryam Rehman – Management Decision Making; Michael Hyun, Roger Liang, Minesh Patel, and Bryan Ramirez- Parliamentary Procedures, and Johnny Mok-Personal Finance.
