One thing is that I find interesting - McDonalds in Walnut at Valley and Grand has friendly staff, better service, and just generally speaking seem to be "on the ball". The McDonalds in Diamond Bar (next to Kmart) usually seems to be out of control, with service that leaves a lot to be desired. The store in Walnut gets a 97 while the one in DB gets 89. Same chain, different managers, different results.

Right you are, except for the soft-serve machine being down periodically, they always have a sign taped to the speaker. That one in DB is horrible, been that way for years. For awhile MCD stopped toasting the buns, they had a new oatmeal dough that didn't need toasting (some stupid MBA probably told them), but you could still ask for it being toasted on the McMuffin toaster. I ordered it that way and they didn't toast it! They lied! They were just lazy. They also screw up the mcbreakfast McMuffin when I ask for the "folded egg" vs the standard round egg. Coffee is bitter at both places- even Starbucks has figured that out with their new "blonde" roast. That part of DB looks run down, it has that abandoned Shell station, that depressing KMart from 1970, and the run-down tire store (I go there but they scratched one of my alloy rims once). I like the Diamond Service center by KFC, they have done me right twice. That Del Taco is not very good at all.

The title of this article is misleading, although I'm not surprised. I think I only continue to read these things to see the ridiculous comments of some of my fellow readers. (You know who you are) You've disappointed yet again Patch.
