Mayor Carmen Cave said David's experience will be an asset to Aliso Viejo.

"What we appreciated from David as a candidate is that he had creative ideas for supporting and implementing our top goals," she said. "I think he will complement our city and we look forward to this new chapter in Aliso Viejo's history."

Doyle replaces Pulone who been a part of the Aliso Viejo staff since November 2005. Doyle's experience includes working with the City of Manhattan Beach for eight years, according to officials with the City of Diamond Bar. His last position there was as Deputy City Manager.
