City Talks Truck Route, Parks, Site D

The City Council will talk about a proposed truck route along the 60 freeway, look to approve a master plan for park projects, and an extension on an all-residential zoning agreement at Site D.

The Diamond Bar City Council will hold a study session Tuesday, before its regular meeting, to discuss a proposed east-west truck route along the 60 freeway.

The transportation plan, proposed by the Southern California Association of Governments, would create a truck route extending from the 710 freeway east along the 60 freeway to the 15 freeway, according to Public Works Director David Liu, who said the city will be closely monitoring progress of the proposal.

The study session on the transportation proposal will begin at 5:30 p.m.

During the city's regular meeting, they will look to approve an agreement to extend a residential zoning agreement to summer of 2012 on a 30-acre parcel of land in South Diamond Bar, which is currently owned by the Walnut Valley Unified School District, who is looking to sell.

The school board discussed the property in closed session at a July 13 meeting but did not announce any further developments.
