Diamond Bar Seeks Public Input on General Plan Housing Element Update

The city is putting documents online and at City Hall, as well as having a public hearing to get feedback from on how to meet Diamond Bar's current and projected housing needs.

The following news release is provided by the city of Diamond Bar.

City of Diamond Bar is in the process of updating its General Plan Housing Element for the 2013-2021 planning period, as required by State law. 

The Draft 2013-2021 Housing Element will be presented before the City’s Planning Commission meeting as a public hearing item during its regular meeting of Tuesday, November 26, 2013 taking place starting at 7pm at Diamond Bar City Hall - Windmill Community Room located at 21810 Copley Drive in Diamond Bar, California 91765.

Interested persons are encouraged to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion.

The Housing Element addresses Diamond Bar’s current and projected housing needs for residents of all income levels and persons with special needs, such as seniors and individuals with disabilities, and describes how the City’s plans to accommodate the needs of all community members.

Hard copies of the draft Housing Element are available for review at Diamond Bar City Hall (21810 Copley Drive, 2nd Floor, Diamond Bar, California 91765) from Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and at the Diamond Bar Library (21800 Copley Drive, 1st Floor, Diamond Bar, California 91765) from Monday through Friday noon to 9pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm).

A downloadable PDF version of the Housing Element will also be available for review via the City website www.diamondbarca.gov/housingelement starting Friday, November 15.
