Do You Want to be Alerted in the Event of an Earthquake?
Los Angeles County is looking for Diamond Bar residents who want to register for the alert system.
Operators of the Los Angeles County emergency operation system announced today they are seeking residents from Diamond Bar willing to submit their email addresses and cellphone numbers for the Alert LA County mass notification system.
Cellphone numbers and email addresses can be registered at alert.lacounty.gov.
The system has landline phone numbers, but not cellphone numbers or email addresses.

The system is geographically based. When a disaster happens, alerts are sent to those in the areas involved.
