Huff: Job Killer Bill Could Prove Costly

This weeks Capitol Comment by Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff his address on the bill the state chamber of commerce warns could cost jobs.

This weeks Capitol Comment by Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) features his top Senate Floor.

Senator Huff stood in opposition to a measure labeled “JOB KILLER,” by the California Chamber of Commerce, because it could lead to costly lawsuits against California’s agricultural industry. The emphasis in all caps was added by Huff’s staff.

Rep.Huff grew up on a family farm in the Imperial Valley and argues that the measure isn’t needed, according to a written statement sent by his office. Huff also presented legislation on the Senate Floor that will lead to the construction of a statue honoring California Governor and President Ronald Reagan, officials said.

How much does the Chamber of Commerce give to his campaign?

What exactly does this bill consist of? I'm sure it wasn't set up intentionally to "kill jobs"...more information is needed to provide a balanced viewpoint.

Why do you ask? Does the teachers union want to own him too, along with the democrats? You know, probably better than anyone, how it's always pay to play.

Ron, Do you know how much, if any, he gets from the Chamber of Commerce?
A J September 06, 2012 at 06:11 PM
The phrasing of your question definitely implies that you believe he does get money from the CC.

I have no idea. Do you know how much money the teachers union gives him? Do you know how much the teachers union gives to all state legislature campaigns? Do you know how much money the teachers union gives to oppose chamber of commerce? Like I said... it's pay to play ON BOTH SIDES! But let me ask you this... Who spends more lobbying money? Chamber of commerce or Public Unions?
