Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) this week presented a resolution to Myrlie Evers-Williams, wife of slain Civil Rights activist, Medgar Evers, on the Floor of the California State Senate in recognition of Black History Month.
"Despite your profound losses, you fought desperately to eradicate racism and segregation that deeply divided our country," Huff said to Evers. "Because of your tireless work and unwavering leadership, the great contributions to this country from beloved civil rights hero, Medgar Evers, will never be forgotten."
