Huff Talks November Elections, Taxes

In this week's Capitol Comment, the state senator acknowledges that Republican candidates did not do well in the November election.

Newly re-elected Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff, R-Diamond Bar, talks recent elections and tax revenues in this week's Capitol Comment.

Huff concedes Republican candidates did not fare well in California in either the State Assembly or State Senate, where Democrats remain in the majority.  Despite fewer Republican lawmakers, Huff said that his party intends to help safeguard the $50 billion in new taxes California voters approved in November and push to make sure the additional money is spent wisely and not wasted on new programs.

Senator Huff serves as the Senate Republican Leader and represents the 29th Senate District covering portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. Follow Senator Huff on Twitter @bobhuff99. Visit Senator Huff's website at www.senate.ca.gov/huff.
