Walnut Looking for Community Hero Nominees

The person chosen will be honored at the Los Angeles County Fair in September.

Walnut residents hoping to nominate an outstanding volunteer for the Los Angeles County Fair's Community Hero honor have until May 10 to do so.

The city of Walnut issued the following press release:

Community Heroes work tirelessly to make a difference.  They volunteer at our local hospitals, schools, churches and more.  Consistently, they selflessly devote their time and efforts, going above and beyond without thought of reward or recognition.  For example, a hero may go above and beyond their job duties and work with organizations such as Relay for Life, Pennies for Patients or the American Red Cross.
