Walnut to Host Senior Health Expo and Free Flu Shot Clinic Tuesday

The free flu shots are for Walnut residents of all ages while supplies last.

The city of Walnut is getting residents ready for the cold and flu season with an annual event Tuesday.

The Senior Health Expo and Free Flu Shot Clinic will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Walnut Senior Center.

Various services, including blood pressure screenings, will be available, according to a news release. Vendors plan to provide freebees and information to those who attend.

Flu shots will be available for residents of all ages for free while supplies last.

“We encourage residents to prepare for the flu season by getting their flu shots. Flu shots lessen the severity of the flu, which is important for infants and seniors,” said Mayor Tony Cartagena in a statement. “Residents can also speak to and get information from local health offices at the expo. It’s a great way to help the community stay healthy this winter.”

The Walnut Senior Center is located at 21215 La Puente Road. For more information, please call the Walnut Senior Center at 909-598-6200. For information about the City of Walnut, please visit our web site at www.ci.walnut.ca.us.
