Diamond Bar High Food Truck Festival Set for Feb. 9

The event will serve as a fundraiser for the DBHS Magnificent 7 organization of parent groups.

Diamond Bar High School will host seven top gourmet food trucks in a fundraising festival on Saturday, Feb. 9th.

The food truck festival will go from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the front parking lot of Diamond Bar High School, located at 21400 E. Pathfinder Road in Diamond Bar.

The area’s most popular trucks are scheduled for the event and include the Lime Truck, winner of the Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race – Season 2” and My Delight Cupcakes, recognized as LA’s Cupcake Challenge winners.  The other food fusion trucks include Jogasaki Sushi Burritos, Bool Korean BBQ, KomodoTruck, the Trailer Park Truck, and Slammin’ Sliders.  A percentage of sales from each truck will be donated to benefit the event.

"The Diamond Bar High School FOOD FEST FUNDRAISER is always a terrific day for us," said Tom Miller, owner and operator of Slammin' Sliders Truck.  "The community really comes out to support these food truck events and we’re looking forward to being back in Diamond Bar."

The planned FOOD TRUCK FEST marks a return to Diamond Bar High School after the December event was cancelled because it was scheduled on the same day as student Danika Tibayan's funeral.  The Magnificent 7, the Diamond Bar High School parent organization representing the diverse community of students at the high school, will benefit collectively from the FOOD TRUCK FEST Fundraiser and is hoping for another large and well-supported community event.

“With the unfortunate events that caused the cancellation of our December Food Fest, the DBHS Magnificent 7 team is looking forward to an even bigger and better FOOD TRUCK Fundraiser on February 9th,” said Clark Rucker, president of the Magnificent 7. “Some of our favorite trucks will be returning and we'll have a few new surprises. We hope that everyone enjoys all that is planned.”

The admission donation for the festival is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for students, and children under 5 years old are admitted free.  No outside food or beverages (or pets) are permitted.  For more information visit www.dbhs.wvusd.k12.ca.us and follow the event on twitter @DBHSFoodFest.

Have not heard this, does it matter? That food quality is not too good and their Yelp comments areRead More pretty bad. That Del Taco is pretty scary too. That's an awesome location, I'd be cool if they would get out of the '70's and get something like a Five Guys in there.

Hi Ken we appreciate your concern with the scoreboard at Creekside Park, but their was no fingerRead More pointing on who was going to fix it. Pony Baseball has ordered the part needed to repair the scoreboard and we are very confident that it will be working properly for the All star tournaments.

I wasn't talking about that, when did that happen, '73? Richard Nixon? That was a colossal waste ofRead More money. Nixon also started the EPA. Not many realize what a worthless Liberal he really was. He also took us off the Gold Standard which was the genesis for out of control gov spending.

How many people in wheelchairs, or blind people walking around have you ever seen in Walnut? I'veRead More lived here since 1968, I haven't seen one, not a single one. I have nothing against the handicapped, I do have a problem with the money it costs to jackhammer up sidewalks, and put ramps that nobody needs, especially 5 feet from a driveway aprin.

How about Hillary's failures: 1) Bill cheated on her 2) She was beat out for President by a Negro.Read More That is sure to "get" southern crackers like the Clintons, no matter how liberal they are. 3) Through incompetence, she is responsible for the deaths in Benghazi and covered it up.
Michael W April 13, 2013 at 01:45 pm
You are so cynical, Hillary is awesome! She enabled the North Koreans to test a nuclear bomb withoutRead More consequences, turned Egypt into a hostile nation supporting the Moslem Brotherhood, supported the overthrow of Khadaffy in Libya, which is a paradise of Democracy now- take a romantic tour of Benghazi to prove it. Your nasty comments might bring on another fainting spell! "I declare, can a gentlemen get a lady a lemonade and a parasol"

Can anyone name even one of Hillary's accomplishments in the last four years? Other than maybe theRead More Benghazi debacle.
