Gourmet Food Truck Festivals to Benefit WVUSD Kick Off Feb. 7 in Walnut

Good eats will be the order of the day Feb. 7 as gourmet food trucks come to Walnut for the Family Wheel Food Fest.

The event, sponsored by the Walnut Valley Educational Foundation, will be from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the school district office parking lot at 880 S. Lemon Ave. in Walnut, according to a news release. 

The gourmet food trucks participating will donate a portion of their profits to the foundation, which provides support to students, teachers, and the district.  Confirmed trucks include  Rolling Sushi, My Delight Cupcakery and the local favorite, Slummin’ Gourmet.

 “We hope you’ll mark your calendar for February 7 and make this your family night out,” said Cindy Ruiz, Vice President of Fundraising for the Foundation and WVUSD School Board Member.

The food fest will be held monthly, with a variety of gourmet trucks participating, according to organizers.
