Mt. SAC Students Gear Up For Career Fair

Over 50 businesses are ready to hire young, untapped talent at Mt. SAC during the Fall Career Fair Wednesday, October 2.

Mt. San Antonio College organizes the career fair in conjunction with the City of Walnut to give students the opportunity to find either full-time, or part-time employment around the area.

Businesses and organizations, such as JC Penny, the Department of Public Services, The Los Angeles Police Department, New York Life, Quest Diagnostics and the Rowland Unified School District line the Miracle Mile section of the Mt. SAC campus to greet students ready for employment, said Zelda Bolden, job developer with Mt. SAC.

Businesses and organizations that find success in hiring during the career fair make it a point to return, Bolden said.

Two career fairs are held throughout the year, one in spring and one in fall, Bolden said.

Students should dress appropriately and come prepared with a current resume and a positive attitude to speak with prospective employers, officials said.

The event will be held in the Miracle Mile section of campus Wednesday, October 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Anyone with questions should call the Career and Transfer Services department at (909) 274-4510.
