Mt SAC Athletes to be Honored for Championship Basketball Runs

The mens and womens teams have been invited to the April 2 meeting of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting where they will be honored.

Mount San Antonio College men’s and women’s basketball squads will be honored by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for what some are calling inspiring championship wins.

Both teams earned their respective California Community College Athletic Association, or CCCAA, basketball championships on March 17. Both are scheduled to be honored during the April 2 meeting of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

According to a Mountie Athletics article by writer Fred Baer, Mt. SAC's lady Mounties went on a 16-0 run to defeat Mount San Jacinto College, 54-41, after trailing 40-38.

  • Justin Long, Chaffey
