Report that a Man Harassed Two Schoolgirls is Investigated

Sheriff's officials are looking into a report that a man made obscene gestures

The Diamond Bar/Walnut Sheriff’s station is investigating a report of a man sexually harassing two young schoolgirls earlier this week.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials, on Monday or Tuesday, a man reportedly made obscene gestures at two girls who were walking down Pathfinder Road near Diamond Bar Boulevard.

A sheriff’s spokesman said Wednesday the investigation had just begun. Deputies are are trying to pin down the exact time of the incident. One report indicated the girls were approached at 2:45 p.m., another report places the time at 12:30 p.m., the spokesman said

Administrators with Diamond Bar High School sent out notices to warn parents about the report. School officials say the man was described as Middle Eastern or Indian. Officials suspect he spotted the girls and made a U-turn in his SUV and parked ahead of where the girls where walking. When the girls neared, they saw him “displaying highly inappropriate behavior towards them.”

The investigation was ongoing, according to officials. Anyone with information is asked to call the Diamond Bar/Walnut Sheriff’s station at (909) 595-2264.
