A Force To Be Reckoned With
POMONA, Calif. (AP) — John Force, 64 won the season-opening NHRA Winternationals beating out Matt Hogan in the Funny Car Final with a record-setting time of 3.965 sec. 323.58 mph. This was Force’s 139th Funny Car Victory & 16th at his home track.
Force was quoted saying, “It’s a good race car, everything is going right here lately, I just don’t get it. What a good time to flex your muscles. This is a critical year. I need to focus on my car. This old race car will do the running. I just need to stay in the gym & stay healthy.”
Khalid alBalooshi won in Top Fuel and Jason Line took the win in the Pro-Stock Division.
