Registration Underway for WVUSD Summer School Program

Dedicated 2 learning, a nonprofit organization, will host the summer school program at Suzanne Middle School starting June 10.

The nonprofit organization Dedicated 2 learning will host the summer school program at Suzanne Middle School.

Classes will start June 10 for all incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  The program will offer multiple academic, enrichment, and athletic classes in two available summer school sessions, according to Suzanne Middle School officials.  Parents may register their children for more than one session at a discounted price.

Walnut Valley Unified School District teachers will be hired to teach the classes. The program is open to students outside of the district as well.

The school has provided the following information about the summer school program:

DAILY SCHEDULE:  Classes will be approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes in length and will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will end promptly at 12:00 p.m. 1st period is from 7:30- 9:35.  Students will receive a 15-minute break.  2nd period is from 9:55-12:00.  All campus facilities will close at 12:30 p.m.

CLASS SIZE: Each course offered through this program will have a class size of approximately 25-35 students, excluding PE.  Enrollment in these classes will be on a “first come, first serve” basis following the registration guidelines and procedures explained in this brochure.  Students are to choose 2 classes.  If a students who do not receive their 1st and 2nd choice due to their 1st and 2nd being full, may be placed in their 3rd choice or where there is room.  Students may not choose the same class for both periods.
