W Is For Walnut

Last nights game against Rowland High, Walnut got the W spoiling the Raiders homecoming game. Neck and neck all game for all four quarters but an interception by Ashton Lizarraga at the end of the game to give Walnut another victory. The ground game was no joke for the Mustangs. Chase Clark, Andy Coronado and Robert Corrillo rushed for 250 plus combined and each of them getting a touchdown. EJ Okora had two important sacks in the second half. This was a great win for Walnut after that lost against Covina.

Next week the Mustangs will take on Bonita High (0-1) at Walnut. This team ties for the oldest teams Walnut has played and still playing. First played in 1972. Both teams have always gave each other a fight so let's see how the Mustangs feel at home knowing Bonita lost last night.

Kick off is at 7PM at Walnut High. Visit www.walnuthighschoolfootball.com for live footage or follow us on Twitter @Walnut_Football
