<p>Diamond Bar High School serves more than 3,000 students in South Diamond Bar and is one of two comprehensive high schools in the Walnut Valley Unified School District. The school received a silver medal in the 2009 and 2010 U.S. News & World Report of America's Best High Schools and is a California Distinguished School.</p>
<p>DBHS houses four academies offering students area-specific curricula: (1) Pathways Communication Academy, (2) Brahma Tech, (3) International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and (4) the Performing Arts Academy. DBHS has its own <a href="http://weather.weatherbug.com/weather-safety/online-weather-center/OnlineWeatherCenter.aspx?aid=2270">weather station</a> monitoring weather around Diamond Bar and offers 17 athletic teams.</p> <p>From 2009 to 2010, DBHS's Academic Performance Index score rose 5 points from 871 to 876 (on a scale of 200-1000). Compared statewide, the school's 2010 API scores 10/10. Compared against a group of 100 similar schools, the score is 6/10. The school's mascot is the Brahma.</p>
