No problem

I like to try and keep Patch readers up to date on court cases Vito. People have written before toRead More let me know it is what they want, whether something happens or it gets postponed.
Vito Spago May 21, 2013 at 03:28 am
We have already see the story about the burglaries. The arraignment has been postponed. NoRead More surprise here with our broken court system. Someone sneezes and it is time to go home for the week. But why is this news. Nothing happened.
pamylla May 14, 2013 at 01:04 am
A lot of questions beg to be answered here, but this isn't the time to pass judgement. Just hopingRead More this young woman finds her way home soon and safely.
Vito Spago May 10, 2013 at 01:29 pm
Thanks. I was not sure if those were the suspects or not.
Melanie C. Johnson (Editor) May 10, 2013 at 12:58 pm
There is a video of the suspects.
Vito Spago May 10, 2013 at 12:07 pm
Help if we had the race. Or is being PC important enough to let these criminals go free andRead More perhaps kill again.
Nick Lozano May 10, 2013 at 07:43 pm

Yes, I suspect this kind of money laundering is much more prevalent in the San Gabriel Valley regionRead More than we realize. I hope the Feds are not stopping with just this case. And aiding international drug traffickers gets you only 14 months, six of those at home? While I rejoice that these two scumbags were caught, the lightweight sentence is just ludicrous.
Vito Spago May 7, 2013 at 11:53 am
Agree. All these mom and pop businesses in this area are very close knit and can involve tax andRead More other fraud and no one is the wiser. My guess is that services are paid for by cash, barter, or gold/silver coins and jewelry. No paper trail. When your business gets larger, involves outside investors and requires outside auditors, is when you can believe that legitimacy is present.
Teri Felker May 7, 2013 at 11:03 am
I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg. Let's get some more of the crooks; don't makeRead More it so easy for them to prosper.
Elizabeth Kintz May 6, 2013 at 01:51 pm
Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear! None of you posting on this thread knowRead More anything about the charges or the evidence. Lisa May is afforded the presumption of innocence under the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the State of California, so lets try not to vilify her here. There are too many stories of people spending 20 years behind bars for murders, rapes etc. they did not commit. Convictions because people didn't ID the right person, prosecutorial misconduct, shady police work, witnesses with malicious intent to lie or simply that DNA testing was not available at the time. This isn't the Salem Witch Trials people!

There are many additional thieves in Walnut Valley Unified School District. They appear to beRead More upstanding citizens and residents, yet they steal from the tax paying citizens of the US. They cheat the system by lying about there income to receive free and reduced lunches and reduced fees for AP exams. It would be great if the "Patch" would report on this topic; however, it probably won't happen because it would be a source of embarrassmment for many so called "honest parents" in your community.

Makes me sick...DBGS had a problem a few years ago that was swept under the carpet.....weak

It has to be more to this story. There is no way that this woman was able to walk into the bankRead More drain the account or sell the home without some legal authority, Power of Attorney or some other legal documentation in place allowing the abuser to act in such a fashion. "Who didn't I tell?" benamarine.blogspot.com Criminal Elder Abuse, Criminal Financial Elder Abuse, Fraud, Undue Influence, Grand Larceny, etc.

Very sad but not surprising. This type of behavior will continue as long as we enable it to do so.

When criminals are invading your home you do not stop to take a survey to ask if they are there toRead More take your stuff or do worse. I would choose to protect myself and my family by educating them on what a 9 Gauge is or we can play how many rounds do I have in my .44 automag. They can answer while heading to the hospital if they are lucky...
Vito Spago April 7, 2013 at 10:02 pm
Insurance is prohibitively expensive for cash, guns, jewelry and family heirlooms. To let someoneRead More just carry these away is lunacy. Would you shoot someone who was stealing your great grandmother's wedding ring. It is irreplaceable.... Shoot them, pull them into the house and put a kitchen knife in their hand. End of story.
Saul Goodman April 7, 2013 at 01:03 pm
No shotguns for me. Just a few well-placed roundhouse kicks to the face of the would-be burglarsRead More for me. And yes, I take taekwondo classes in Diamond Bar. There's no need to protect your house if you've got insurance like Julia said. In fact, I leave my front door wide open all evening so they can take as they wish. Paying a deductible might be a pain, but hey I got my roundhouse kicks to keep me safe at night.

What happened to enforcing the ban on TALKING while driving? Isn't that why the Bluetooth was beingRead More pushed so hard by law enforcement in 2008, to PREVENT distraction while driving also? I guess talking on the phone is LESS dangerous than texting, paying attention to the GPS on the windshield, or the old favorites like eating, drinking and READING behind the wheel, right?

You're right. We should consider what you said about her not being guilty and quickly rush toRead More judgement..................... Nope, she's guilty
Yokozuna April 23, 2013 at 11:29 pm
I teach all my kids to judge. To judge the character of those around them. To judge situationsRead More they may encounter. To judge the surroundings they enter. The ability to judge and make good decisions is one of the most fundamental skills you can teach your children. Not judging is ignorant.
Gina April 15, 2013 at 10:56 pm
no, she's guilty to much money, how sad how you can do good your whole life volunteer, teach yourRead More children to volunteer and be good, teach them good values, while behind the scenes your makeing your money and ripping people off, thanks Lisa because of you i will be joining Walnut Ayso no wonder you raised the prices of Ayso last 2 years your personal expenses were growing and needed to pocket more thats whats sad people are not going to remember all the good you did they will remember that you were a theif. How sad for your family, and all those volunteers who helped you..............

There are trauma centers and trauma centers. Best is LA County/USC but that is for accidents in LA.Read More For accidents in San Berdoo, Arrowhead Med Center gets the tough cases. Likely because it is a teaching hospital. You get the professors there who are the best and they have the most experience in the toughest cases. You also get students, but they are pretty sharp too. Also heard that recently LA Co/USC emergency room was temporarily closed.
Dr Research? Maybe, I love research! May 6, 2013 at 09:58 pm
Why was this guy taken 25 miles away when Pomona Valley Hospital was one mile away, especially whenRead More Pomona Valley has one of the best trauma centers?

According to this article on the SGV Tribune,Read More http://www.sgvtribune.com/news/ci_23167977/brish-fire-breaks-out-near-homes-walnut There were NO EVACUATIONS, according to Inspector Quvondo Johnson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Johnson said the blaze was knocked down at 4:58 p.m If it is true that there were no evacuations, why did Ching knock on doors? Did he really go house-to-house? What time was that? Was there anyone else with him? Why was he allowed to walk around? Was it already safe? Did he coordinate his efforts with anyone?
spider man May 10, 2013 at 02:21 am
Thank you for the clarification Melanie.
Melanie C. Johnson (Editor) May 10, 2013 at 01:51 am
Hello Spider man. The city does have a Planning Commission and five commissioners. Commissioner orRead More Planning Commissioner is the correct title for each of the five. In the case of the chairman or vice chairman, you can refer to them with that title.
