Jim Beller, Multiple sources cite that the richest Americans are Democrats. Among the countlessRead More Democrats and Republicans who I count as friends and business associates, none believe the Republican party is out to pad the coffers of the uber rich. I constantly advise people who post biased, and sometimes ill informed material on the internet, to read the party platforms of all parties. It's also curious that you cast dispersions on one side when both sides have clearly committed unethical acts. Some examples: Pointing fingers at someone on the right for having an affair while a former Democratic president admitted to sexual impropriety in the oval office. Our own President pays the women in the WH less than the men, yet the Rep. party is falsely accused of not standing being an already existing law re: equal pay. Please get your story straight before posting ill informed and biased stuff. The lesser educated among us need accuracy, not to be manipulated.

PP Good Points. Sick of these brainless libtards ascribing to Republicans the standard crap thatRead More goes around. Republicans are NOT the wealthy, they are not the anti women, they are not the anti poor, they are not the anti minority. They are for small government and self-help. Not for government handouts. Government handouts breed laziness and generations of folks on the dole. What Republicans are for is not PC right now, but PC is pure BS and doublespeak. The government is NOT there to help. The government only screws things up. Get the government OUT of healthcare, social manipulation through the tax system, onerous business regulation, politization of immigration, gun rights, and gay sex perversion.

I wonder if anyone who buys into the things going on in our government has read the Declaration ofRead More Independence. Our Constitution is not outdated. The men who wrote it were brilliant. As a career woman who grew up during the ERA era (women burning their bras, Gloria Steinem coming into influence) I'm here to testify, the war on women does not come from the right. Without pointing fingers, it comes from groups who believe we are second class citizens and that is NOT what the majority of Americans believes. Ignorance is a powerful weapon in the search for power, Vito. In all societies taken over by a fascist regime (Communism in the world today is run by fascists, not true communists.) the masses were rendered ignorant so they were more easily controlled. Book burning, murder of teachers, state media, poor schools, and the list goes on.

That's the U.S. Senate logo, not the California State Senate.
Ray Russell March 30, 2014 at 09:39 am
Their pay should have been suspended too. If they can't participate in government job thenRead More government pay should stop! No work , no pay! Also any anti gun or gun control bill Yee has voted on should be required to be revolted on because of his conflict of interest!
Ray Russell March 30, 2014 at 09:41 am
Sorry should be re voted on! His action are revolting!
Wayne Breitkreutz March 7, 2014 at 11:19 pm
This can happen to anyone. My former family doctor's office (Part of St. Jude Heritage inRead More Fullerton.) had their computers taken and we had to do the credit monitoring because of compromised information.
Vito Spago March 8, 2014 at 04:08 am
What is bad is doctors and dentists ask for way more information than is needed. Like why do theyRead More need to know name, birthday, job address, ss number, dl number of your spouse if they are not the patient or insurance holder. Why the DL at all. Why the job at all. Just insurance number and birthdate should be all. Credit monitoring?? How does that prevent someone from stealing your house by writing a false quit claim. Or stealing a bank or brokerage account by cleaning it out with false info in front of a bank teller. Or cashing in a life insurance policy with false information. Or getting a ticket and giving your DL number and birthdate to the cop because you left your license at home. This has NOTHING to do with CREDIT and would not show up in a credit report.
Wayne Breitkreutz March 8, 2014 at 11:10 am
Besides your insurance information they try to get all the data on you they can if they ever need toRead More go to collections. Agree they ask for too much personal information of people that have a record of paying their bills.
Supervisor Gloria Molina. Patch file photo.
Vito Spago March 5, 2014 at 03:17 pm
Idiot Molina has to be very careful. She may find out that 10% of her constituents are hateful copRead More killers.
Jake Mooney March 5, 2014 at 04:04 pm
She's just trying to fit in with Boxer, Feinstein, Waters, Pelosi and their ilk. She fits in nicely.
Ray Russell March 6, 2014 at 12:00 pm
You mean as a stupid politician? I'd rather have a crime preventing or stoping officer around thanRead More a dumb politician any day! Too many politicians wold rather gain votes by codling special interests than in doing a good job and maybe not getting re-elected.
Senator Bob Huff.
Ray Russell March 1, 2014 at 12:52 pm
Sen. Huff, then why did you vote for this bill? When you should be putting action not just wordsRead More into place. . Speaking against something isn't enough! And as long as your speaking I'd like to hear your stand on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. And more specific on gun control and gun ownership. And First Amendment rights! Two rights that we seem to be loosing at every turn
bobhuff99 March 3, 2014 at 04:53 pm
Ray, I voted for the bill because it is needed policy. I spoke against the process, because theRead More voters expect a budget be completed by June, not have a "budget bill" taken up 8 months later that has nothing to do with the budget. The Democrats would have had no problem getting 2/3 vote, the threshold for a bill with urgency, but chose to call it a budget bill because that only takes a majority vote. This issue will eventually be litigated. I support the constitution and bill of rights, including 1st and 2nd amendments. I have been a gun-owner since I was 12.

SWM: Illegals? What do they have to do with American Indians. I was born here. I haveRead More nothing against legal immigrants, which my ancestors were, likely in the early 1800s. They never even saw an Indian, much less, took their land. It is just illegal immigrants that broke American immigration laws since 1987 that I have a problem with. Quit trying to be such a drama queen.
Ray Russell February 12, 2014 at 08:02 am
SWM already writes like he's stoned. The profiteers of Marijuana sales are the criminal drug cartelsRead More of Mexico and South America. These people don't care about your health, only about how much of your money they can put in their pockets. These are the same people our current government is supplying with guns! Don't forget they can afford to spend millions to influence laws and politicians, because they take billions out of the pockets of Americans selling their products.
The Los Angeles County Seal
Jeffrey Ho February 7, 2014 at 07:18 am
Christianity is not an insignificant part of the history of both the city as well as the UnitedRead More States and having a cross on the city seal is obviously not a "religious" object but rather a historical one. An object can only be "religious" if one believes it to be so and chooses to honor it. The ACLU has repeatedly worked to ban not just present displays of the Christian faith but to wipe out even historical references to it. I wonder what intense fear or hatred is driving them to despise this symbol that represents salvation for so many?
Michael February 7, 2014 at 03:25 pm
I'm tired of the American Criminal Lovers Union stirring up trouble. This nation was founded byRead More Christians, if you don't like it, get the ___ out, or go back to where you came from. When are normal people going to stand up to these liberal Democrat lovers?
Vito Spago February 8, 2014 at 05:53 am
I agree. Christianity and the Protestant Ethic is what built Europe and made the explorersRead More populate the New World. Funny how most all of the inventions of the 20 century were developed in the US based on Christian principles of bettering yourself. Folks need to take a trip to Europe and visit Rome, Florence, London, Paris to see the influence of Christianity on man. Of course, with the liberal crap you find in schools these days, this stuff is not taught any more to kids.

How many of those 100k actually paid their premium. And how many will actually see their insuranceRead More pay out a single penny with a $3k deductible? 132000 in all of LA COUNTY?? That is horrible. Should be more like half a mil.
Ray Russell February 1, 2014 at 09:00 am
The insurance companies love Obama Care. It forces millions of dollars into their pockets every yearRead More from now on! A government supported industry based on a captive audience ! No controls on premium increases and none on changes to coverage. Well almost none! They'll do the same thing they have done to the senior population that are on Social Security. Massive increases in insurance costs along with reductions in coverage. That's their way of doing business. Slavery, by the masses, to the few!
Dan Snelson February 1, 2014 at 09:42 am
of course they DO NOT mention that more than 70% of the doctors have told them to go pound sand.Read More they want to pay all doctors MediCal fees, If you have ever been to a doctor that primarily serves MediCal patients...well let's just say that is the DMV of medicne
Smog blankets Los Angeles.

Yea right ;) Nice photo AQMD, what year was that?
Concerned Parent January 30, 2014 at 06:20 am
Actually, having walked over Walnut hills last afternoon, the air quality was terrible, worse thanRead More 1980s...
RAYSAY January 31, 2014 at 01:45 pm
I get your ‘concern’, and agree there are always better days of air in SGV; but theseRead More ‘Ban Wood Burning Alerts’ are a little over the top in it’s so-call urgency , and minuscule at best in solving a real pollution problem coming from the East, who are thanking us for all the manufacturing outsourcing to them by exporting there now new western style of living like it was in the sixties of smog alerts and real hard to breath lungs back to us. These ‘alerts’ I sense are more of a flexing their muscle of control using a dash of fear which always works well for subliminal obedience. But of course that falls into the category of the ‘C’ word, so it can’t be that. Not to digress, but most of southern California was called the ‘Valley of the Smoke’ by the Chumash Tribe, long before the combustion engine. In other words we will always have some kind of layer of not so clean air that we like. Where is the concern for Fukushima’s gift coming our way, and the ‘those aren’t chemtrails’ polluters. And finally; wood burning is not only environmental friendly but actually adds carbon dioxide back to the atmosphere which exhales back to us oxygen by a neighboring plant. South Coast Air Quality Management District, knows this, and if not they should, which is other example of a Fed-run outfit, because its Environmental 101. I guess the office that handles Diamond Bar, didn’t get the memo that The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has specifically exempted outdoor wood furnaces from its emissions regulations.5 This pass was given because all science says wood burning is natural and good for the atmosphere unlike oil and coal. For the record I haven’t used my fireplace in almost 5yrs, it’s not a personal rebuttal.
