Don't waste your time contacting CA State govt on any taxes. Voters gave the Democrats a 2/3Read More majority so they can raise any taxes they want, and they will. Enjoy what you voted for, much too late to fix it now.

Just get a well paying job, a wife with a well paying job and live way below your means. Enjoy aRead More large bank account more than a fancy house or fancy car. Brag about your financial planner and banker taking you out to dinner. Pay cash for your car and always buy used. Do opposite of what everyone else is doing. If everyone is buying a house, do not buy, in fact, consider selling. If everyone is selling, consider buying.

Shaszzam: If you are anti union then go work for a charter or private school and make what you areRead More worth on your own abilities, not what can be extorted from the lame school district. And yes. I have found that in my work too, a company has all the money in the world for employees when they want to spend it. It is just they do not want to spend it on you. Hint hint, time to quit. Or perhaps kidnap your boss's family.

Wait a second??!!Walnut Valley has been issuing out pink slips and this guy gets 215,000 a year plusRead More a 550 monthly stipend along with 450 a month for car allowance? Are you F'N kidding me? Concerned Parent: When was Walnut Valley part of the Inland Empire? Aren't they part of the SGV? Vito: People have different ways of raising a child. So if you had a choice would you work in Compton, ELA, or Walnut schools? BTW, not every teacher is a greedy union member. Believe it or not, there are quite a few teachers that I know of are anti-union.

Concerned Parent: I believe you. Do you remember Ray Watson? I liked him. Hope he was a goodRead More guy.

As I was trying to, but was impossible to type from my mobile device. This site is not mobileRead More friendly anymore. Takes forever to load, there are annoying advertisements that pop up and block content, you can't close them on a mobile device. I frequent this site from my phone, not from my computer. Creating a limited mobile version of this site wouldn't be the answer either. There are many out there that have done just that and you just don't get the same experience as you do with the full blown site. Consider trimming the fat and sticking those ad's in a different position. Getting iTarded and following the latest fad isn't always the best thing. Remember K.I.S.S.? Keep it simple stupid. (not that I'm calling anyone stupid, just an idea that is worth considering sometimes).

Hey Michael. I did have any control over cropping. I wanted more of the trail and less of the cars.Read More I will keep your suggestion in mind. We will be able to change out the photos soon I am told.
Vito Spago May 15, 2013 at 02:49 pm
New format sucks. You are just trying to put more ads in front of us to make more money. AlsoRead More everything is cross referenced so we supposedly click away and get lost with adds popping up left and right. Also you have ad disguised as stories. Very old school. Did you pay someone for these ideas? They have been around for decades. Good luck. Us readers are not that stupid.

Susan A I live near the intersection of Canyon Ridge Road and S Quarry Lane...Our whole area wasRead More dark. Sunday around 9:46 until sometime during the middle of the night. On Monday around 4 pm we had another outage until 4:20 am Tuesday. SCE certainly DID KNOW about both outages.....I called them a whole bunch of times...starting around 5:00pm spoke with someone who confirmed the problem. At other times I listened to their recordings about the outages. Was given times of 9pm, midnight, 2am and then 4am as to when the problem would be fixed.
Melanie C. Johnson (Editor) May 14, 2013 at 06:26 pm
Edison called me back this afternoon to say that the outage reported Monday is related to the oneRead More Sunday. It is all one incident.
Mike A. May 14, 2013 at 04:31 pm
Thanks for the update! That is very strange. The Sunday power failure seemed to have been noRead More more than an hour but yesterdays power failure lasted for so long I don't understand why there would be no record of it.

A lot of questions beg to be answered here, but this isn't the time to pass judgement. Just hopingRead More this young woman finds her way home soon and safely.

I can't imagine staying in Waikiki for two weeks. Been to Hawaii multiple times and in order to seeRead More the true beauty of the islands you will need to drive, unless you are willing to fork up the fees for a taxi.
Vito Spago May 13, 2013 at 03:48 pm
Staycations are a bunch of crap. Gasoline is expensive, so rather than drive, I go where youRead More cannot drive, Hawaii. Real nice this time of year. If you stay two weeks the high airfare averages out.

Is there insurance on this property. Oftentimes if the place burns down, the insurance policy hasRead More a rebuild clause to bring it up to code. Perhaps if it accidently burned down.... You know, accidents happen. Especially with projects that are hopelessly bogged down.

It's good to know about these green jobs. Although I keep up on most things of this nature, I'mRead More sure not everyone is aware of them. It's a field that is sure to expand over time, barring unforseen budgetary roadblocks and such.
