One Suspect Arrested, Around $1 Million in Marijuana Plants Recovered at Walnut Home

One suspect was arrested Tuesday in a bust of a marijuana grow in Walnut with an estimated $1 million worth of plants.

Investigators made the arrest at around 2:30 p.m. at the home in the 1900 block of North Red Rock Drive, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Detective David Mertens.

Hundreds of plants were recovered at the residence.  Investigators also discovered that the suspect had allegedly been stealing electricity from Southern California Edison, Mertens said.  Edison estimated that more than $30,000 in electricity had been stolen, he said.
