National Voter Registration Day Celebrated Today

The Diamond Bar-Walnut area has candidates vying for seats in council and school board races.

Today is National Voter Registration Day.

The non-partisan, unofficial national holiday was started in 2012 for the presidential election, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters website.  The day's purpose is to generate an interest among citizens to exercise their right to vote.

The Diamond Bar-Walnut area has candidates running for office in upcoming races.  The election is Nov. 5.
